“Not more vampires,” [Helen] murmured weakly, taking a few steps backwards before she stumbled and fell back onto her rear. She covered her face with her hands, and shook her head. “It’s a nightmare. A bad dream,” she whispered. “I just need to wake up… please, let me wake up…”

"This isn't a dream..." He said in his comforting tone, making sure that the volume of his vocals were below hers as he spoke. "True, I am a vampire, but I am different than those you had encountered." To this, he looked up at her once again, taking a slow step forward towards her. "Fear not... I am here to help." He whispered, his figure remaining motionless as he awaited her reply, the wind his aura emitted slowed to a stop, his white coat sank down once again around his slim presence, the lights in his eyes faded to become a dull orange as the clouds concealed the moon to their wakes.
